Some people said, "No bro, after a long time will get a good sleep", "I'm going out with my family", "No man, have to go and see father's parade and get bored there!" "Yaa I'll come", "And so will I", "And I'll come too." "You bring the bat Rohan, I will bring the ball."

Oh Hi! Sorry, sorry. What a worse way to begin. I'm Ashish and I'm presently studying in class XI, am a writer, with 2k followers on Insta and I may be the next headboy of my school (as said my the teachers). Tomorrow is 15th August and that's why I'm planning to go out with friends. Yes, now you'll tell that what type of Indian am I that instead of going to school tomorrow, I'm planning to go out with friends. Who will attend the boring function at school? The same old patriotic songs, the same old being patriotic for just a single day, the same speeches about how the nation got 'freedom' with the help of people who didn't have a good education and yet ironically, they concentrate on only those children who do well in the class and call the other people 'useless'. Maybe that's what kills the children from inside and they remain with the fact that they can't do anything in life. The most ironic part about this day is that children and teacher hear and tell so much about how this country should be respected, but then they throw the wrappers, flags and even newspapers on which they were sitting, in the middle of the road and go away. All Patriots are so busy in feeling proud for their Nation that they make Her more dirty and no 'true Patriot' takes any initiative to clean the roads or fields, and the work has to be done by the 'uneducated' sweeper who hasn't attended even a single Independence Day meet. Well, leave that. The best part about tomorrow is that the Principal is out and as I'll not be able to put an impression upon her, there's no use in going. Other teachers are well buttered up already, so there's no need of impressing them any more.

And you are blaming me for not going to school? Can't you see the guys who are taking classes for IIT and Medical, and if I quote Hard Times live in Facts? Do they even have time to think about the problems of the nation? They are more preoccupied with solving a problem of Integration than thinking how plastic can be prevented. Some are so engrossed in the world of competition that they won't even notice that tomorrow is a holiday. Some Great Teachers will also have extra classes tomorrow, so that the kids will not get bored in attending the boring function at school. Some have already sold off their lives to IIT or Medical, and thus all these Shitty days are studying days. Yes, a friend of mine once told he had solved 150 questions in one go on Republic Day. God, I haven't solved so much from the time that I'm in class XI. He's surely cracking IIT, I guarantee it. Ok, let's say you devote one year of your life to crack either medical or engineering, being really Selfish. What after that? You get into IIT or AIIMS and again top the next 4 years, as you are concerned only about studies. What's after that? Do you think that being Selfish and not caring about others will really make you a Caring doctor? If you don't care about others, how will you build a strong bridge that will be treaded on for generations? Leave that, after you get a job, you'll go to the office in the morning, scold your boss, come home in the evening, enjoy with family, binge watch few series and then go to bed. Even there are some people who don't even go to vote, telling that they usually don't get enough sleep and they will sleep and party that day. Who the hell even cares about where the country is going? Do you? I don't think so.

How many times have you deliberately stood up for National anthem? How many times did you sing the national song? How many times did you go on a ride across your town and enjoyed it's natural beauty without taking photograph of it and uploading it on Insta? How many times have you really thought of respecting the national flag, without changing your dp in WhatsApp to the first letter of your name written with the colours of Triranga. How many times did you really respect your country, by keeping it clean, without posting statuses as #I'mProudToBeAnIndian? Are you really that proud? How many times have you wondered that had I been born in some other country, how better my life would have been? How many times have you actually done something for the sake of Nation?

Where were you the other night that guy was objectifying this 'hot girl'? Now, now don't post this in your status, that #IRespectWoman. Because I've been with you long enough to know what exactly are you! Where were you when your sister was not allowed to go out after 8 in the evening? That time you must be feeling victorious, right? That there are some things which only boys can do! And you, my dear girls, where did you 'Feminism' go? Now now don't start abusing me. I've seen many girls with iced fire in their eyes. They are to be blamed for it in the equal amount as their parents. If you feel like being chained or being pulled down, then speak out. Get your own freedom. And yes, you're liking and sharing #I'mProudToBeAnIndian and #RespectWoman from the same meme page which was offering you $5000 if you could go and stay in that amazing foreign place and also objectifying women to the worst.

By just posting pictures of Triranga for one single day, and hugging your enemy (whom you were planning to kill, only yesterday), changing your dp to some nation-related thing and watching and listening patriotic songs on repeat instead of watching you-know-which-types and listening to songs where women are objectified, if you think that you're a true Patriot, then my dear you are completely wrong. Independence Day is a day of work or an observation day for you all fake Patriots. For others, the unsung heroes, who clean our streets, who drive us to our destinations safely, who behave like a perfect gentleman in front of and also behind girls, who respects everyone, who demands for his/her own rights, it's a Holiday. Yes, holiday because we just want to see all those hypocrites and most probably, maybe laugh at them. Country needs you guys, go start showing off your patriotism before it's too late. And yes, don't forget to listen to that new pop song about the short dresses of girls tomorrow.
Well, phew! What a waste of time. I don't write so long even in exams. But, well it was necessary I guess to show the mirror to the people. Anyway, let me check out what has been finalised for tomorrow. Most probably cricket will be cancelled since all fields will be occupied and so we could be going to watch that patriotic movie which has been made more watchable by the inclusion of that item number, or else tell me who will watch those boring patriotic movies. Who the hell cares, anyway?
